Highlights: The BYD Maxlite In PDU is the power distribution and interconnection unit for a BYD Battery-Max LiteIn rack battery system in Uganda. It sits between the battery rack and the inverter, carrying the DC busbar connections, the main disconnect switch, protection, and the CAN/RS485/Ethernet communication link the inverter needs to talk to the battery. Built for safe, organized commissioning of commercial-scale battery.

A power distribution unit (PDU) in a battery rack system is the central interconnection point: it is where the battery string's DC output is brought together behind a main disconnect and protection device before being handed off to the inverter, and it usually carries the rack's communication backbone as well. The BYD Maxlite In PDU performs this role for the BYD Battery-Max LiteIn high voltage rack battery. On the battery side it terminates the rack's B+/B- DC connections; on the inverter side it presents P+/P- output terminals plus an 8-pin terminal block for the inverter's communication cable. It carries the CAN/RS485 port used for inverter-battery communication, plus INV ETH and ETH ports and P IN/P OUT ports for daisy-chaining communication across multiple parallel racks, along with a built-in Wi-Fi module for remote monitoring. A dedicated ground cable port, a handle-switch DC isolator, an auxiliary AC power port, and green/yellow/red alarm LEDs support safe installation, isolation, and at-a-glance status checks during commissioning and maintenance. It suits Commercial backup, Large-scale solar, Telecom backup installations built around the Battery-Max LiteIn battery. Long-term ownership is supported by a 10-Year warranty
